How to create repeat events in Google Calendars for the same week every month

0

Recently, I’ve been trying to create an event for the 3rd Monday of every month but I just didn’t think it was possible in Google mail and so I was putting it in manually!

After a bit of rooting around I found this VERY simple solution.

1) Go to your Google Mail account and go to the calendar

2) Input the first recurring event you want to put in

3) Go to “Edit details”

4) Click on “Repeat” near the top

5) Select “Monthly” from the drop down menu

6) Repeat every 1 month

7) Repeat by “day of the week”

8) Click done!!

Sorted!! So now you know how to book repeat events, go and do it!

Google Chrome has stopped working!!

0

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Google Chrome logo

Just kidding… :)

Well my Google Chrome DID stop working on my computer for the best part of this morning.  Luckily I had my laptop to survive on.

For some reason, it said the User Profile was corrupted!!

So I tried to uninstall, reinstall, restart, boot kick, kick it, slap it, cry at it, shout at it… Nothing worked!!

Finally resorting to the ultimate I downloaded FireFox to search for a clue!!

I thought I would have lost all my beloved bookmarks which I had created over the years so it was a nail-biting process!

Luckily I found a site which had the following information and I hope it comes in handy to you:

If your browser user profile is corrupted, you can create a new user profile to replace the broken one:

  1. Exit Google Chrome completely.
  2. Go to the Start menu > Run.
  3. Enter one of the following directories in the text field, then press OK.
    • Windows XP: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data
    • Windows 7 or Windows Vista: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data
  4. Locate the folder called “Default” in the directory window that opens and rename it as “Backup default.”

Try opening Google Chrome again. A new “Default” folder is automatically created as you start using the browser. You can transfer your old browser information to your new user profile; however, we recommend against doing so since a part of your old profile was corrupt. You can transfer your old bookmarks to your new user profile by copying the “Bookmarks.bak” file from the “Backup default” folder to your new “Default” folder.

Ping Chat 2! – The new iPhone App!

2

A couple of months I downloaded an application on to my iPhone which allows me to communicate with other iPhone users.

It was called Ping. Unfortunately, the only thing this application could do was to send messages back and forth with another user.

Now, I know there are other applications out there but, for now, I’ve vowed to only download and use FREE applications. I know it saves me money and I hope it saves others money as well.

I used to have a blackberry before the iPhone and there was an application on there called BlackBerry Messenger (comes as standard). This application did what the new application “Ping Chat 2″ can do now!

You can send pictures, videos, voice notes and contacts to others who have the application.

I’ve been using it for a couple of days now and I’d highly recommend it.

You can download it from here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pingchat-2/id371769677?mt=8

Oh… The best thing about this is… Wait for it… It’s soon coming out on Blackberry and Android phones!!!

(As always, this application was still free to download at the time of this post and any changes in price are down to the sellers and promoters of the application.)

Do you think we are alone on this Earth?

I just got sent this video of a test that some scientists did with the Hubble telescope. They pointed it for 10 days, and then 11 days, at seemingly empty space…

Have a look at the video to see what they found.

Blurb – The iPhone application

0

I’ve downloaded this new app which is very cool.

Imagine this situation. You’re in a club, filled with people on the dancefloor, you at the table and your mate at the bar.

You have no reception and no way of getting through unless you brave the herd and spend 5 minutes just trying to get through.

Been in this situation? I know I have!

Well here’s what you do. Download “Blurb”, type in your message, adjust the colour and font, press play and hold up your iPhone. Simple!

I used this app at my cousin’s birthday party in a club to tell him drinks were ready. It was great!

You can download the application here:
